P90myabshurt

So I slacked a lot getting started, but yesterday I gave my P90x a solid effort. It was legs and back, and the ab ripper x. My abs hate me. My hip flexors wonder how they wronged me to be abused in such a way. My thighs burn. My calves are the only thing that's quiet. Thank you years of Ukrainian dancing. My back I don't really feel because all of the back exercises in this workout are pull up or chin up based, and I have no chin up bar, so all of my attempts are using a resistance band anchored over my bedroom door. The problem with that is even the 'heavy' band I bought doesn't do much for me for resistance. I think that Devin has a couple heavier bands than mine so I'll try them. I don't have the strength to do a real pull up, so I'm not going to spend $50 on a door mount pull up bar yet. I ordered a set of adjustable weight dumbbells so that I can do the rest of the videos without the bands. Because its hard matching the tension on both sides of the band, for some movements it's awkward and in the way. I got them on amazon, thank goodness for free shipping over $50 because I don't even want to think about paying shipping on 105lbs of dumbbells.
I wish I had known about this program back when I actually had and used my gym membership. At the gym I was always scared of the free weights. So I would just use the machines.
I also think this program is what I need right now more than TurboFire. TurboFire is primarily cardio conditioning and high intensity interval training. P90x has much more strength training and I think I will see more visible results with it, which I need to keep motivated. I like feeling the burn and waking up in the morning and going "yup, that's where my abs are".
With TurboFire I never really had that. And after a month and a half I had no scale movement and only a couple inches lost.
I do love TurboFire for cardio though so I have no doubt that I'll swap the P90X cardio for a TurboFire one every now and then.
I took before pictures but you don't get to see them until I have an after shot for you.
