I think that it's just freaking stupid that I can't post a poem that I really like; that moves me. How effing ridiculous is that?
I find that poem incredibly emotional and beautiful.
I don't write on this blog to try to detract from artist's work, I write on this blog because I enjoy just talking to space, and letting people know about what interests me, etc.
So now I just have to say that everyone needs to go to their public library (and I fail to see how letting people borrow a book and read it is any different than me putting it here for them to read) and get a copy of some kind of poetry anthology that contains the poem Pour by Al Purdy, and read it. While you're at it, read Night Summer and House Guest, both by Al as well, and Heat Wave II by Michael Redhill.
I hate what the world has become.

I agree-it's not like you were publishing it in a book and not crediting the author. I'm pretty sure that I have a few things posted that people would consider I retract and that's not fair either.
Brynne -- you have my permission to run a poem of mine on your site.

Thank you so much, oh my gosh!
