A Taste of Rum

I was a server at a banquet thing at The Fairmont tonight. It was some kind of Scottish thingy. 56 massive platters of haggis and neeps. (That's mashed turnips. In case you were wondering.) 112 baskets of bread. 560 napkins. Lots and lots of men in kilts. Some of them rather young and good looking. 'Twas a good time.

A Taste of Rum by the Peatbog Faeries is pretty much the most prettyful song I've ever listened to. It's so soothing, and mellow, and lilting. I love celtic music. Love it.

I took a cab for the first time ever tonight. And I didn't have to pay for it. Sweet.

I almost went to a party tonight. 2 of the girls, Anna and Jennifer were like "Dude! You should come!" And Jennifer lives like a block down and over from me. So a ride home (almost home) was right there. But apparently someone called the cops because of the noise. So party cancelled. So my attempt to be crazy, spontaneous and teenager-like flew out the window. Fruitbaskets.

I can send you one if it would make you feel better. A fruitbasket, that is.

A fruitbasket would pretty much make my year.
