I'm posting from home. I came home this weekend to surprise my dad for his birthday. I'm so glad I did. Mom, Bob and I conspired to keep me coming home a surprise. It was fab. We were so stealth.
I have an awesome little brother. A lot of people I know are like "Ugh, younger siblings suck!" but mine rocks. He and I drove around for awhile after leaving Amma's, and we talked about what we wanted to be when we grew up, and all sorts of random crap too. Then when we got home, we ate carrot sticks and watched Eric Idle's Personal Best, and argued over who was funnier, Michael Palin and Eric Idle.
He's just generally cool. Yeah, he gets on my nerves sometimes, but I get on my own nerves sometimes. I can't believe he's graduating next year. That's crazy. He's not my little brother any more. He can pick me up and throw me over his shoulder. And at 170lbs, I'm not exactly a light-weight.
But to me he's always going to be my baby brother, the one who hid behind the couch when he was little and ate half a bottle of bacon bits, and brought me and my friends butterscotch pudding and bags of chocolate chips when we had sleepovers.
