I just don't get it...

Okay. Little rant that just has to happen. I was watching the MuchMusic Countdown just now. I figure, I almost never listen to the radio anymore, so this will get me up to date with the current popular music. But my beef isn't with the countdown.

I'll start from the start of my confusion. I can kind of get why a woman rolling around in a giant champagne glass would be attractive to some of guys. Females + water (or champagne or whatever) generally seems to be a winning combo with the average male. Hence the popularity of wet t-shirt contests. And, that theory could probably be applied to jell-o wrestling, and maybe even, by some stretch of the imagination, mud wrestling.

But here's what I don't get. Who on earth told Fergie that in her new video for Fergalicious (don't even get me started on that one) it would be attractive to put on someone's old cha-cha costume from Dancing With The Stars sans skirt, and jump into an inflatable pool full of cake? I don't care how 'fergalicious' you are sugar, nobody, and I mean NOBODY looks good when they have icing in their hair and chunks of marble birthday cake smeared on their arms.

In other news, the more I hear it, the more Maneater by Nelly Furtado grows on me. It's still not as good as her older stuff, but I have to say that I enjoy it more than Promiscuous. I think it's more danceable too. Which is usually all that matters to me.

Funny thing, in Maneater, theres a line about "You're doing anything to keep her by your side/because she says she love you, love you long time" and in London Bridge, Fergie has a line that goes "I'm Fergie Ferg and me love you long time" So, if that's how you care to interpret it, Nelly is calling Fergie a man-eater. And that makes me laugh. A lot.

As a general update, we didn't end up going to Rob & Faerisa's, we just chilled here, ate our fish & chips, and the guys watched the football game. Robyn and I started watching it with them, but we left after about the first 5 minutes, because we realized that they are boys, and I've never experienced Uncle Dave watching a football game, but Dad tends to be loud. DimSum was good, lots of shrimp, and the lobster thingies were deff a high point. I just pretty much lazed about. Mom, I'm sorry, I forgot to give Amma your Jellabies, but I will bring extra home next time I visit. I did, however, remember Beth's little mini Purell bottle thingies.

So I'm pretty much done, I think I'm going to go to bed. The only reason I'm still typing is I needed another paragraph to complete my rainbow. Cause unlike many people, I do not forget about Indigo and skip straight to Violet. Power to the Indigo. Whee! Totally an underappreciated colour. I think it's my new favourite, after orange.
