Crap-tastic Day

Ugh. Today went from fine & dandy, to crap-tastic in no time.
It was going well. I finally managed to sign up for an experiment. I need 6 experimental research credits for Psych, and every time I went to the sign up board, they were all full, or they had restrictions that meant that I was not eligible. Like, "males only." I can't even fake that. But yeah, so I finally got one. Now I just need 5 more in the next two or three weeks. You can do article reviews too, which I'm thinkin' I'm probably going to be doing a lot of. And then I had Linear Algebra, and we all had a good laugh. Someone asked the prof about a proof, and why he didn't do it, and he was like "Because it would hurt me." It was hilarious. Well, not hilarious, but it was giggle-worthy. Then I came home, and I was messing around on IMDb and having a good time, when Uncle comes upstairs and tells me that I have to go downstairs and get everything off my bedroom floor. Apparently something went all screwy with the downstairs toilet. Almost half the basement was under about an inch of water. Luckily, my room was unaffected. But the bathroom, and most of the family room was soaked. On the bright side, I don't think Aunty was very fond of that carpet. But yeah, the cats will likely not be very happy. They're tempermental like that. So we just spent the last hour trying to mop up all the water. Which is not my idea of a good time. But I don't think anything was damaged too badly. I'm going to have to go downstairs and get all the stuff off the floor of my room just in case though. Well, I've been meaning to clean up down there for awhile. Just means I have to get my butt in gear. Oh well. And I think my ceramic hair straightener survived. Which is good, because otherwise it would just be an obscenely expensive paper weight.
