Phantom of the Paradise

I know what some of you are thinking. What on earth is Phantom of the Paradise? Well, Phantom of the Paradise is a movie that came out in 1974, and flopped everywhere, with the exception of Winnipeg, Manitoba, where it stayed in theaters 62 weeks. On April 23, 2005, in Winnipeg, Phantompalooza will take place, celebrating the 30th aniversary of "Winnipeg's love affair with 'Phantom of the Paradise'."
One of the most exciting things is that William Finley and Gerrit Graham, who played The Phantom and Beef, respectively, will be there for a Q&A session.
I saw this movie on TV a couple months ago, and loved it. I mean, who wouldn't, with lines like these?
Beef : Speed?
Arnold Philbin: Yeah.
Beef : What do you know about it? You just pass the stuff out, I take it. I know drug real from real real.
I also found out that we have three copies of the soundtrack on vinyl. I've been listening to it on and off all day. Generally whenever I've been in the living room, considering that's where the record player is. Paul Williams wrote it, and anyone who thinks that Paul Williams is only good for Barbara Streisand-type music will be pleasantly surprised if they download any songs from this album.
I'm so excited about Phantompalooza. I hope I get to go. Anyways, I should probably go do something productive. Laters.
