Holy crap I'm bad at this "getting back on the wagon" thing! Lol! Only a week left till Christmas, and I still have 3.5 days of work left! Crazy! I never would have guessed that I'd be working this late in December!
And we start back up Jan 4, unless we get a crazy cold snap.
I've decided to commit to getting into shape for the new year. Not really a resolution, cause I've never followed through on a resolution that I've made, not really.
I've downloaded (cause let's face it, I don't have $200+ to spend on workout DVDs) the TurboFire, Insanity and Brazil Butt Lift programs from Beachbody. They are, respectively, 4 month, 2 month, and 1 month programs, they tell you which of the programs to do each day, how often, etc etc. So Devin and I have decided that we're going to try to tackle this together. Having someone to do it with is, I think, going to make a big difference. Having someone else to help motivate, keep you accountable, and commiserate with will help a lot.
I think we're going to do TurboFire first, and then in the month after, I'm going to do Brazil Butt Lift and Devin is going to go back to the gym and 'get pumped up' cause he likes being a beefcake. Not that I'm complaining. Except when his biceps get all beefy it hurts my ear to try to snuggle. Lol! Oh well. We all have to make sacrifices I guess. And then depending on how we feel, we're going to try Insanity. From what I've read about Insanity, it really is insane, and I feel intimidated thinking about tackling it and that's still 5 months down the road.
But I'll be updating on here, my tentative goal is to go from my current 179 lbs, down to somewhere around 160 lbs, but that's not set in stone, cause I'm not sure how my fat loss-muscle build ratio will affect that, basically I just want to commit to it and complete it, get healthier, and (superficial reason time) be bikini ready for the summer season.
We've already started trying to turn our eating habits around, more veggies and taking homemade lunches to work, loosely tracking calories and trying to make smarter choices. We might try lower carb eventually, but it's a very needed food energy source, especially for Devin, working outdoors in the winter.
So that's where I'm at.
Whee!
Merry Christmas
and
Happy Holidays.
