Holy crap! My mind is still trying to process this. I saw Phantom of The Opera LIVE!!
It was amazing. John Cudia was my Phantom. Adam Monley was Raoul, and Sarah Lawrence was Christine.
They all rocked. When the Phantom twirled off his cape, and started singing Music of the Night, I was robbed of my ability to think. Cape twirling should be a part of every man's education. When Raoul sang his first line in All I Ask Of You, I pretty much melted into a puddle in my chair. Those two were crazy for gorgeous. The few times that they were on stage together, the sexy in the room was pretty much overpowering.
The guy that played Firmin had one of the most beautiful voices I think I've ever heard. Meg irritated the crap out of me. She was just so...blonde. She always seemed to be staring off into space, looking confused, or warbling (not well). I really didn't care for her.
It went by so fast...I can't really believe that I actually saw it. It felt like we sat down, and 10 minutes later it was intermission.
The fireballs during Wandering Child weren't that impressive...I kind of preffered the swordfight in the movie. The big ending burst of flames was fun though. 2 of my favorite things. Singing boys and fire.
Another thing that I kind of preffered about the movie is that they kind of paused between The Phantom of the Opera and Music of the Night. To me, it felt kind of like the actor barely had time to take a breath between the two songs.
But overall, I can't really express how much more I enjoyed it. I'm going to bed now I think... I'm too tired to try to organize my thoughts right now.
