Twinkies and cars

Today was fun and totally exhausting. I was up at like, 7:45 (when you don't have to be at school until 12:30, 7:45 is pretty early) so that I could go to Brandon and get body scrub and makeup sponges, and babywipes for drama. That was interesting...then in Jazz Band (more about Jazz band happenings later) we found out that we have to submit a video of us playing some songs, or we lose our $500 grant from the Juno committee. Sucky, non? So we busted our butts trying to sound good...which is hard when you're playing In The Mood, which never sounds good. Janna almost had aneurysm playing the high-high B flat at the end. But we kicked it when we played Soul Bossa, so it made up for it. Then, we (meaning Janna Sarah and I) skipped some multimedia presentation about drugs, or drinking and driving, or something, and went to Janna's to do our commercial things for French. All I can tell you is that it involved the Gremlin, a Twinkie, a diaper, and bubble bath. Confused? If not then Creeped out? Speaking of being creeped out, check this out, it's hilarious! Long Pants! Anywho, back to the Jazz Band stories. Monday night, our Jazz Band played at a Credit Union dinner/meeting thing. We got free food, so it was all worth it. We did not bad. Eddie(electric guitar), Geordie(keyboards) and Kelsey(drums) played Fur Elise, and it was so amazing! It's such a pretty song, and it was all rock-y and awesome. Unfair amounts of talent there. So we played our songs, and we were feeling pretty good, but then they wanted an encore, and we didn't have one prepared, so we were like, 'Umm, okay...let's play...Hockey Night In Canada' But it totally didn't suck as bad as it could have, cause we had Mike on the bari-sax. Mike, you're my hero! You rock! Well, it's late, and I'm gonna go to bed. Laters!

We thought that grant was sort of too easy to get...aha!
By the by, Naj was very impressed by the anti-drunk driving presentation. Hard hitting.
